I'm glad to hear that there are several people genuinely interested in trying to make this work. Don't get discouraged. Sooner or later a window will pop open for everyone. Better luck next week perhaps.

Oops. I left thursday night bible study, and promptly went to bed.
I am free to try any night you want. Just got to have enough advance notice, as I only check this forum ever so often.
I plan on attending another arfcom campout next weekend (not THIS weekend), and several of us will be packing our rigs and setting up antennas. That would be a cool time to try.

I would like to say thanks to those who made contact and to those who tried. With each contact we learn more about our radios and how to use them. I will encourage others to try to join our next Frugal Squirrel net. Our radios may be our only means of communication in the event of a disaster. Glen KA5***
Our 2nd child is due in about 3 weeks, and tonight my wife had a bit of a "funny" feeling, so off to the hospital to get her checked out. I kept hollering at her "Honey, I gotta get back by 9 for the QSO!" but she wouldn't listen. That's when the doctor called security....
Anyway, things are back to normal. I'll try to stop her from being so inconsiderate the next time we are scheduled to have a QSO.
