Grape vine has it that anyone found carrying a Plastic CIA type, Composite, Carbon, Fiberglass or any tyoe of edged weapon that is 'Easy to Hide' and not made of steel will be considered a terrorist.

Any comment on this new legislation?

So I'm a national enemy if I should happen to have a piece of broken glass?

I think this is bull. Do you have a source?

I haven't heard anything . Can you list a source please ? Are you talking about specifically on airplanes or carry in general ? I believe (although I am not 100% sure) that it is already a felony to sneak any covert weapon onbaord . There is technology now that can "see" non-metalic weapons , so I assume they will be implimenting it if they hadn't already . My opinion is they can make all the laws they want . It doesn't stop clever people . Prison is one of the most weapon restricted enviorments one can enter , yet people make and carry weapons . Anyone whom believes banning yet more weapons will offer them more security is fooling themselves . Bad guys do not play by the rules . The rest of us suffer for their crimes and quite frankly it needs to be the other way around .

C-Span last night. One Congressman was discussing this as an add-on to the bill they passed last night for the funding.

It passed, they doubled the amount of money allocated. So, once the LAW is viewable in it's full written form we will know how many of us were made into fellons overnight!

This is for everyone, no exceptions, no grace period and no provision to dispose of the illegal knives.

As usual, these twits don't know what they are talking about and are working overtime trying to justify their salaries. If I ever have to ride an airplane, I will suddenly need to walk with a cane! A cane is a wonderful weapon for confined spaces, if you know how to handle it. In the hands of an untrained person it is almost harmless.

Well, as an American I find this to be a bad thing.
But as a blacksmith, I make my living selling things to people that are made out of steel, and I say that it's about time I have some federal protection for my way of life.... ;^)
