In your experience, which is the more dangerous;

* The big mouth who talks tough

OR

* The quiet one who doesn't make threats?

Please include why you selected the answer...
I need a little professional advice

Thanks!

A non-professional opinion here so weight it as you choose.

The big mouth is more likely to cause trouble, but may not be smart or competent at the task.

The quiet type will be less likely to cause trouble, but will likely be smarter and more competent at the task.

Way too many factors involved to make judgements
just on loud mouth or quiet.

Non pro too, just somewhat experienced.

Both can be dangerous. If threats are involved, you may want to take them seriously.

You may hear the bigmouth coming, and may not hear the quiet one coming, but the point is they may come.

I'm undecided on the plausability of the threats. I 'feel' they are just hot air, but I just don't have any experience in this arena.

Thanks Gentlemen for the responses. I've been a little concerned about this for a while.

base upon what life has taught me. the quite one who doesn't make any threats. never ever get on their sh!t list. say like you done them wrong, and will not ask for forgiveness. the old saying. never judge a book by its cover. people are not as dumb, or as smart as they look. case in point a person has the looks of a moon child [mongoloid]. turn out he had the iq, in the mensa range. he had a very rare disease. most loud but not all loud mouths are bullys. say like a bully is beating the living sheet out of you, you break free at run like he!1. and the bully is in hot pursuit. you stop and turn around and if the bully countines. at the time under texas law. 1953 he is bought and paid for. i assume the fireing position, he made aburt turn and went thru thickets.

My answer seems to have presented itself. In this case, the loudmouth does appear to be all talk. I had a few flat tires and a broken window at the office after having an unfortunate run in with a loudmouth. I was almost convinced it was a passive/aggressive form of payback.

The owner of the building attached to my office came over to offer to pay for the broken window his construction crew 'thought' they had broken.
His crew comes in after hours and works thru the night. I feel sure they DID break my window and since they must be working in the parking lot, I may have picked up a few nails.

Paranoia!

Thanks to all for your input!

IMO both are just as dangerous!
The loud mouth may just be all noise, but that noise will get attention. In a jail or holding area he might get others to go along with his BS, and a little problem will get BIG, very quick!
The quiet one is either scared and going to do something stupid, or smart and thinking about doing something (usually stupid)
Working in a jail system I have learned;
1.trust no one!!!!
2.treat every one the same.
3.trust no one!!!!
4.don't turn your back on them.
5.trust no one!!!!
6.show respect, up to a very fine point.
7.trust no one!!!!

I personally could not give you an honest answer. I have delt with both types that would attack you in a heartbeat. Best bet is to be able to read a man's eyes and body language.

My Advice:

A perp only has to be "right" once...

You must be "right" EVERY time.

Think about it.
